Clinton Health Access Initiative & National Ministry of Health Guatemala
The area of interest of the campaign is the department of Escuintla (south coast of Guatemala), where important advances have already been made in the malaria eradication processes. Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) Guatemala has been supporting the Guatemalan Ministry of Health since 2016 in the country's efforts to eliminate malaria and during these years it has managed to reduce the number of cases by 94%. Currently, the decrease in cases has stopped and in some areas a level of increase in cases has been observed.
A campaign was created that takes the positive side of confronting malaria, a competition that we can win against malaria.
A level of communication that invites you to get tested, that by facing and defeating malaria, the victory belongs to everyone. It highlights the positive approach to the disease eradication work carried out so far and demonstrates the value of the joint effort. It also highlights the disease and its elimination as a common objective.
The campaing was implemented with the support of the local communicatons team of the Health Ministry and an influencer was included in the content creation aspect to humanise all social media videos.
